In the marina you can go for boat tours and fishing tours or enjoy the vast array of restaurants and bars. With a short walk from the marina you will find a 18 Century fortress in the small and picturesque village, Castillo de la Duquesa - once a large Roman fishing village.
If you are into golf, there are many popular golf courses within 15 min reach for example the Finca Cortesin which is ranked in the top 5 golf courses in Spain by the Golf World Magazine. If you are in to water sports, kite surfing, paddleboarding, sailing, kayaking are just some examples. For hikers there are a lot of possibilities especially if you go a bit up in the mountains there are a lot of routes with nice nature experience and stunning views. If you rent a car you should not miss to visit the little fantastic old mountain village Casares 20 minutes from Sabinillas. While up a bit in the mountains you can find some genuine Spanish restaurants were the locals often have their long Sunday lunches

OFF KM 144 (JUST 50 M BEFORE PUERTO DE LA DUQUESA EXIT) GET A SHARP RIGHT IN CTRA. PART PENONCILLO 50M front, WHAT YOU SHOULD SEE A ROUND WITH A LIGHT BLUE BOAT. Continue straight to the next roundabout and turn left, continue and continue take next right and you have reached RESIDENCIAL PHASE IV.
